Discover Cleveland’s own Dr. Laura
Laura L. Sadler, Au.D, FAAA, Board Certified Audiologist is starting her 30th year caring for the hearing-impaired community of the southwest side of greater Cleveland. Dr. Laura grew up in Sagamore Hills (Summit County), attended Kent State University for her B.S. and M.A, and Arizona School of Health Sciences (ATSU) for her doctorate in Audiology. She started her career as an Air Force Captain, working at Wright Patterson AFB Medical Center as Chief of Audiology from 1980 through 1984. Dr. Laura established an audiology clinic at a hospital in Michigan before returning back to the area to work for the now defunct E.B. Brown Opticians and hearing Centers until 2004. She established her own practice in Middleburg Heights that year to accommodate patients from all over the Cleveland area.
Our clinic provides a variety of hearing healthcare services including hearing assessments and rehabilitation, education and counseling. Our clinic also fits and dispenses hearing aids and assistive listening devices to suit all types of hearing loss and life styles. Assessments regarding the level of amplification that is best suited to our patients are completed following a comprehensive hearing evaluation.
We also actively participate in the prevention of hearing loss through the provision and fitting of hearing protective devices, consultation on the effects of noise on hearing, and consumer education. Dr. Laura also provides services to nursing homes and assisted living facilities.
Our current location was first opened in April, 2004. On July 31, 2006, the medical offices of OsteoMed II, which was located on the second floor directly above our office, had a fire which devastated the entire building. The fire started late on a Friday night, and was not discovered until early Saturday morning. The entire back half of the second and third floors were totally destroyed, and the entire Plaza South One building was damaged by smoke and water. Although we lost very little because of the heavy concrete floors, we were displaced for almost 2 years. We share an office with another company in Plaza South 3, and lived out of boxes the entire time. We were finally able to move back to our original space in mid November 2007. Our new office is bigger and MUCH more colorful. We invite you stop by and say hello, have some of our specialty coffee and cookies, and try out the TV Ears in our lobby.
